Tutoring Grants Now Available for Indiana Students and Families
Eligible families can access $1,000 grants, focused on English/language arts and math
Indiana families can now access tutoring grants through Indiana Learns, a statewide initiative that helps qualifying students strengthen their skills in English/language arts (ELA) and math. Enrollment is open through Friday, December 19, and families can begin scheduling tutoring sessions immediately.
To qualify for an Indiana Learns tutoring grant, a student must meet the following criteria:
• Student resides in Indiana;
• Student completed ILEARN testing and scored below proficiency in either ELA or Mathematics;
• Student is enrolled in and is attending a CSI, TSI or ATSI-designated school as a third through eighth grade student; and
• Student qualifies for the federal free or reduced lunch program.
Families can check their eligibility and enroll today at IndianaLearns.org. Those who qualify can use their $1,000 grant to access tutoring in ELA and math through approved Learning Partners statewide. Tutoring is available in-person, online, or in a hybrid format, giving families flexible options to meet their students’ needs.

East Allen County Schools has canceled school today 11/10/2025. As a result, today will be an eLearning day. All students are expected to be online by 9:45 AM for classes and attendance. More information on eLearning is available at the top of the East Allen County School's website. Thank you and have a nice day.
Today 11/10/2025, East Allen County Schools is under a 2 hour delay. Buses will pick students up 2 hours later than their normal time. School will start 2 hours later than the normal start time. Students will be dismissed at their regular time. Thank you and have a nice day.

Along with meeting many of our staff and students, she had the opportunity to talk with, give advice to students in Mr. Laycock Broadcasting class. We greatly appreciate her coming and seeing what all Heritage has to offer.

Congratulations to the Pride of Heritage Marching Band on a wonderful performance at the Bands of America Super-Regional, located at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN on October 24th.. The band had an early morning with a call time of 3am and a performance time in Indy of 8:30am. What an amazing day, one that these students will never forget!
The Marching Band's show was entitled "Scars of Gold" and featured songs by Journey, Papa Roach, Ennio Morricone, and Snarky Puppy. The Band started the year moving up from Scholastic Class to Open Class C, a more competitive class. The band also grew this year to 36 total members, including seven seniors and seventeen first time marchers.
We are very proud of our band students and staff that have put in so much time, hard work, and dedication to this program! 🔵🔴
