CONGRATS to Heritage Jr./Sr High School English teacher Mrs. Katie Harris. Mrs. Harris was honored tonight at the East Allen County Schools Teacher of the Year banquet. She is not only the Heritage Teacher of the Year, but also the secondary Teacher of the Year for all of EACS! Congrats Mrs. Harris! We are so proud of you!
Congratulations to senior, Jaxon Hoting, for being selected by the Indiana Association of School Principals Academic All-Star. Jaxon is one of 44 students chosen for this honor across the entire state! Congrats to Mr. Bultemeier for being a great teacher/mentor to Jaxon. Mr. Bultemeier was also honored by the IASP today.
As the 2023 - 2024 school year is winding down we would like to announce our end of the year award ceremonies, more information and invites will be forth coming in the upcoming weeks:
Jr. High Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 21st in the afternoon
9th - 11th grade Awards will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 8:30AM
Senior Awards will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 1:30PM
All award ceremonies will be in the held in the cafeteria.
SENIORS still needing help with FAFSA? Join Mrs. Hunter and INVestEd Indiana this evening Thursday, March 21st from 3:00-7:00pm in the Heritage High School Media Center to receive free help. INvestEd Indiana experts will help with creating both a parent and student FSA ID (Federal Student Aid ID) and with completing the entire process.

On 3/19/2024, Heritage Jr/Sr High School will be hosting a virtual mental health awareness program where students will participate in the "Get Schooled Tour Virtual Event".
Students will participate in an anonymous polling. No identifying information pertaining to the students name, phone number, or email address is included in the polling.
Information about the "Get Schooled Tour" can be found at GetSchooledTour.com including a video summarizing the purpose and intent of the program.

The Get Schooled Tour and Heritage Jr/Sr High School would like as many students as possible to participate. However, the following safeguards are in place:
• A parent can decide that their child/student will not participate.
• A student can decide the day of the event to not participate.
• A student can choose to participate and stop at any time.

East Allen County Schools has been selected to participate in the Indiana Youth Survey. This survey will include grades 6 through 12 across the entire district. This is an anonymous survey that will be conducted via the internet during the week of March 4, 2024.
